As early as Monday, April 6, Kleiber Hall Drive will be closed at Parking Lot 26 for the ongoing Big Shift Hot Water Project. Both directions will be detoured through Parking Lot 26 with most parking stalls within the lot being closed to facilitate safe bi-directional travel. 

Those who normally park in Parking Lot 26 should consider parking either at Parking Lot 27 or the Pavilion Parking Structure for the duration of the project. 

Increased parking demand at Parking Lot 25 is expected for the Yolo County Vote Center hosted at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC). The Vote Center opened on November 1, but the most significant impacts is anticipated to be on Election Day (November 4).

If you're a regular commuter and want to avoid the congestion, consider parking across the street at Parking Lot 35 or at the Pavilion Parking Structure.

Fall instruction starts on Wednesday, September 24, and we expect increased traffic and parking congestion in the first few days of the quarter. Consider adjusting your regular commute (telework, bus, bike, carpool) and check this page for parking structure and lot fill status updates between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.

From 7pm on Monday, September 15 through 6pm on Thursday, September 18, all of Parking Lot 47 and the northern portion of Parking Lot 25 will be reserved for Moove-In.

Expect heavy traffic in both of these areas throughout the day as we welcome new Aggies to the dorms!

On August 18, work will begin on seismic improvements for Police/Fire Department Building. As part of that project, the entrance to the Police/Fire Parking Lot will be temporarily reduced and access slowed. Emergency, construction, and related vehicles will continue to have access and active construction areas will be covered with steel plates at the end of the workday, but please do not enter this parking lot unless necessary. 

Impact to this lot is expected to continue to early/mid-September. 

As part of the ongoing Big Shift mega-project extending hot water lines throughout the campus, Parking Lot 6 and parts of Cushing Way will be closed from July 28 - August 25. The nearest alternate parking options can be found in Lot 5, Lot 5A, Lot 10, and Lot 3. 

Garrod Drive (from Brooks Road to W113) will be under partial lane closures from Monday, June 9 through Wednesday, June 18 for pavement rehabilitation as part of the UC Davis/UCPRC Road and Path Living Lab Partnership.

Access Limitations and Detours

• Expect increased parking and traffic congestion for the Lawntopia, on the evening of May 8.
• Standard parking rates will be in effect. 
• Parking impacts are expected in the Pavilion Structure, Lots 25, 30, and 35.

• Expect increased parking and traffic congestion on Saturday, May 17, due to several events on campus, including:
  • School of Medicine Commencement (10am-1pm): Gateway Structure, Lots 1, and 2
  • Aggie Transfer Day (6am-2pm): Pavilion Structure and Lot 25
  • 4H State Field Day (8am-4pm): Quad Structure, Lots 14 and 15
