May 16: Lane Closure on EB La Rue at Lot 46
A section of the eastbound lane of La Rue Road, south of Parking Lot 46, will be closed for urgent and immediate repair. The westbound lane will remain open for bi-directional travel and be controlled by construction site flaggers. Expect significant congestion in this area, especially during peak commute times. Construction is expected to last through the end of May.
We strongly encourage you to modify your commute during this project to minimize traffic impacts.
- Intra-Campus Travel: If driving between the Gateway District (Mondavi Center/Mrak Hall Area) and the Pavilion District (the area around Hutchison & La Rue), consider detouring onto I-80 and SR-113 instead of using La Rue Road.
- Commuters: If you normally park in Lots 44, 46, and 47, plan to adjust your typical arrival/departure times.
- Event Planners: Departments and programs hosting events bringing visitors to the campus should evaluate how their guests are likely to arrive and suggest alternate routes as appropriate.

After construction has concluded for the day, the site will be covered with heavy steel plates and all lanes will open. Please continue to use caution when driving through this area during evening hours.
