Fall 2026 Return to Campus – Major Impacts

Fall instruction starts on Wednesday, September 23, and we expect increased traffic and parking congestion in the first few days of the quarter. Consider adjusting your regular commute (telework, bus, bike, carpool) and check this page for parking structure and lot fill status updates between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. View map of parking facilities here.

Additionally, there are some ongoing construction projects that will strain traffic flow in some areas:

Construction Impacts

• Northbound La Rue Road approaching Blue Ridge Road/Orchard Road is currently constrained to a single northbound lane as part of the ARC Parking Lot Safety Improvement Project and times to exit the campus via this route are greatly slowed. Instead of exiting the campus via La Rue Road, please consider using Hutchison Drive to access SR-113 and proceeding from there or using southbound Old Davis to access I-80 and proceeding from there. This interruption is expected to continue into October.
