Bike Education can help even the most experienced bicyclist be more comfortable bicycling in a variety of circumstances. The UC Davis Bicycle Program is excited to present Cycling Savvy Basics—an online introductory bicycle education class that seeks to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to ride safely on your commutes, while running errands, or while biking for recreation. It is our hope that by putting this material into practice, you can make all of your cycling experiences more enjoyable and less stressful.

Through our partnership with the American Bicycle Education Association (the creator of Cycling Savvy)  we have made the course available online the entire UC Davis community. We hope that the course material is wildly helpful for you. A UC Davis computing account is required, as the class is hosted on Canvas. You can find the class by searching for "Cycling Savvy" or by following the link below.

TIP FROM THE PROS

ArrowThe course can be completed at any time and in any order, but the material is presented in path which builds upon itself. Feel free to start and stop, reviewing the videos at your own pace.

For more information, each section has some additional reading linked which is greatly informative and can give valuable added context to the course's material.
